The S3M Doctoral School Day (JED) is an annual event organized to bring together all PhD students members of the doctoral school of Sciences of Matter, Molecules, and Materials (ED-S3M). 

This year, the event will take place at Rennes University on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026. 

All PhD student members of the ED-S3M are encouraged to participate and share their thesis research work by doing a 15 minutes oral presentation (10 minutes + 5 minutes for questions) or in the form of a poster (vertical A0 format). Presentation and poster should be in English. You only need to register!

Abstracts for oral presentations and posters must be registered before April 5th.

 

Registration is mandatory even if you only wish to participate as an audience.

 

We would like to remind you that in order to have your doctorate validated, you must attend two Doctoral School S3M Days and present at least one time or participate with a poster. Priority on oral presentations will be given to third-year students who have not yet made their required contribution and to second year students.

 

*Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided by the S3M doctoral school.

*Awards will be offered to the best presentations and the best posters by a jury (teaching researchers and researchers from the laboratories of the Doctoral School S3M).

*For doctoral students coming from Brest, transportation by SNCF as well as accommodation for one night will be provided.
